My 24 weeker is now a Kindergarten Graduate!!!!  First grade, here we come!!!!!

This school year definitely had it's ups and downs but without a doubt.....John prevailed!!!!!  He is a shinning star, a true fighter and the greatest miracle of all.

John, we could not be more proud of you.  You are an inspiration to us all and your strength and determination is astounding!

Big Girl

Exciting news at the Birtch House....this little girl is potty trained!!!!!!

We enrolled her in preschool last week and she overheard them say she must be potty trained by the time school starts in August.  The minute we got home she took her diaper off and said, "I don't need to wear these anymore" and she's been in panties ever since (except for night!)

We are super proud of you Hopie girl.

Next up....Kindergarten graduation!!!!!!!

Catch Up

Soooooo, we've been...playing with our friends, swimming with our cousins, spending an evening in the ER (John) after falling down the stairs, getting a CAT scan to rule out brain bleeds but discovering an acute sinus infection (head was fine,) taming fevers (Hopie,) taking sissy to the pediatrician (ear infection,) distributing antibiotics x 2, finishing up Kindergarten, enrolling Hopie in pre school and prematurely planning a third birthday party. Whew....I am tired just writing all of that:)

Oh and on top of all that....we've been WALKING a ton and shaking our booty off in dance class.

Bed Head

Now that's some serious bed head!  John's hair sticks straight up in the air but Hopie has a full on rats nest every morning!!!!

Regardless, they're still just as handsome/beautiful as ever.  LOVE these two soooooooooooo much!!!

Girl's Day With Our Besties!!!!

Yesterday Auntie Brittany treated us to mani's and pedi's......Hopie's first time ever (Hmmmmm...doesn't seem fair.  I think I was in High School when I went for the first time and her first time was at 2 years old!!!!!)  She was a pro though.  She picked out her color (pink of course...with a flower,) sat in the chair nice and still and let them dry completely before getting up.

It was a perfect day with Mommy's BFF and Hopie's BFF!  Thanks, Aunt Brittany.  You are the BEST!!!!!

Easter 2012

OK, OK, I'm a little behind.  Better late than never, right?

So, Easter morning the kids awoke to Easter baskets filled with goodies and eggs scattered around the backyard.  After their hunt (and our breakfast consisting ONLY of chocolate) we got dressed in our Sunday finest and headed out the door for church.  Luckily for the kids there was an egg hunt at church too......and then another at Grams and Papa's!  It was a wonderful day indeed.

Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE having my brother, sister-n-law and sweet niece back home? Holidays are even that much greater now that my entire family can spend it together.

 

1st Swim of The Season

With the temperatures reaching 105 degrees this weekend we all braved the cold water and took our first dip in the pool!!!!

We LOVE pool time........bring on summer!!!!

We had some fun with water balloons too!!!
